Join us via Zoom to hear Hannah Cattarin, Assistant Curator of The Fralin Museum of Arts at The University if Virginia discuss the critical reception to feminist artist Hannah Wilke's work in the 70's 'performalist self portrait' which includes the 'S.O.S Starifications Objects' series on view at LaiSun Keane through April 10.

Assistant Curator, The Fralin Museum of Art at the University of Virginia
Hannah Cattarin holds a Master’s Degree in Art History and Theory from the University of Essex in Colchester, England. Their curatorial interests include contemporary art and the enhanced visibility of historically excluded femme, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC artists. Before joining the curatorial department at The Fralin they served as the curatorial assistant at the University at Buffalo Art Galleries. Previously, they were Collections Manager and Assistant to the Estate at Tony Conrad Archives in Buffalo, NY; Documentation Assistant at Essex Collection of Art from Latin America in Colchester, England; and Registrar at the Castellani Art Museum at Niagara University in Lewiston, NY.
This event coincides with LaiSun Keane's current exhibition Hannah Wilke: Friendship.
