Children 7–12 years, join Pura Belpré Author Award winner Ruth Behar (https://www.ruthbehar.com/) for an exploration of letter writing, immigration, and the ways that we stay connected to the people we love. Chat with Ruth about her new book, Letters from Cuba, historical fiction inspired by her grandmother’s escape from Poland to Cuba. Then let Ruth guide you through writing and drawing descriptive letters that you can use to connect with friends and family. Email Librarian Rebecca (rfox@bpl.org) by October 7 to register and receive a link to our Zoom room. This program is in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
