DIY Face Mask Workshop
Make your own mask... no sewing machine required! During this virtual class, I'll be teaching you how to create your own no-sew contoured (read: comfortable) face mask that hangs around your neck when not in use. And we'll chat a little bit about Malbec while we work. All crafting abilities are welcome – this class is great for beginners and craft-aholics alike.
Materials
Below are the supplies you'll need for the class. Feel free to use what you already have (even an old pillowcase will do!) or buy a kit ticket which includes the class plus the first five materials.
- Two pieces of 7x13" cotton fabric
- 28" narrow elastic
- Elmer's CraftBond Fabric Glue
- Binder clips (I love these gold ones)
- Template with three sizes (you'll receive the template file in your confirmation email)
- Printer
- Sharp scissors
- Pen
- A glass of Malbec wine, or other beverage of your choice!
The Nitty Gritty
You'll receive a printable PDF template in your confirmation email which will be used to cut the fabric pieces and then I'll walk you through each step to create your very own custom face mask. We'll take a quick break while the glue dries to chat a bit about Malbec... my husband sells wine for a living, so he'll be recommending a few of his favorites in a variety of price ranges. (If you're not a big wine drinker, feel free to sip on any beverage of your choice). The class will be broadcast using Zoom – you will receive the meeting information prior to the beginning of the class.
