This discussion will give you a brief overview of the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and Hatha Yoga Pradipika. David will pull out major references to yoga, shaping your understanding of how these writing influenced the development of what became our modern asana practice. Studying the writings of these brilliant devotees, seers and teachers provides a window into the earliest recorded evidence of human contemplative practice.
