About the Kaleidoscope Chamber Ensemble
Formed in 1996 by musicians with a wealth of chamber music experience, Kaleidoscope is committed to presenting a wide array of music, diverse in style, period, and performing forces. As the name implies, the group's composition is constantly changing. Chamber works with as few as two players are programmed with works of up to seven performers and include music ranging from the Baroque era to the most recent 21st century compositions.
Kaleidoscope has appeared in concert throughout the New England area. They served as Artists-In-Residence at the Mill Pond Center for the Arts, in Durham, New Hampshire and have appeared on numerous concert series in Massachusetts. After a concert tour to the Midwest and the Rocky River Chamber Music Series the Cleveland Plain Dealer opined that the performance was "kaleidoscopic in shading and expressive nuance."
About the venue
First Church and Parish in Dedham Unitarian Universalist was first gathered in 1638 and its historic (circa 1762) Meeting House is located in Dedham Center at 670 High Street. Its lively music program includes choir at Sunday services, Friday Folk Coffeehouse, the Parish Players intergenerational theater troupe, and the Concerts at First Church Saturday Series.
Tickets are $20 and are available online at www.dedhamuu.org/concerts-first-church, or at the door. Doors open at 7:00 pm.
