Securing grants is about much more than word-smithing: it’s about making connections with people and advocating for your work. In this 90-minute presentation, we’ll discuss the tactics of how to navigate the world of grants with role-playing case studies in a “masterclass” format. We’ll analyze opportunities, challenges, and setbacks to operating within grant funding sector-wide, and discuss how we can best talk and write about the young people we work with as we advocate for equitable access to excellent music and arts opportunities. Dedicated time for participant questions to follow.
Community Conversations is a series of workshops with CMCB staff that seeks to engage others in dialogue about important issues in arts education. We want the voices of our students, parents and partners to be heard. Join us to learn and share your experiences.
Additional information about registration and other events can be found at www.cmcb.org. This event is free for all to attend; please consider making a donation to CMCB to support this work.
