On September 7, Coach Grill will welcome Jeff Beckmen of Beckmen Vineyards for an evening of wining and dining. Beckmen Vineyards, the first biodynamically farmed vineyard in Santa Barbara County, is a family-owned and operated winery celebrated for producing estate-grown premium Rhône-style wines made in harmony with nature.
Beckmen will team up with Coach Grill’s executive chef, Carlos Martinez, to present a guided culinary adventure of Beckmen wines paired perfectly with the best from land and sea. During the reception, gourmands will be treated to a chef’s selection of hors d’oeuvres with the 2020 Viognier, Purisima Mountain Vineyard. For the first course, sip the 2020 red blend Cuvee Le Bec, Santa Ynez Valley, while indulging in a Maryland crab cake with basil aioli and heirloom tomatoes. The entrée is a grilled sirloin served with Nueske’s bacon, potato pave and bordelaise paired with the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Ynez Valley. The grand finale is the 2019 Syrah, Purisima Mountain Vineyard, with a “crème de la Boston” dessert, an almond cake with vanilla custard and chocolate glaze.
