CLUBweek: Thursday Night HUBweek Party

Each night, The HUB comes alive through light, sound, performance, and roving parties. Hit the Back Deck for some local brews and wine (21+) and explore the installations throughout the site. Head to the Ideas to Dome for this year's first HUBweek Silent Disco, run into pop-up performances throughout the site, or check out the night's main performances on Center Stage.

Pop-Up Performances
7:00-9:00PM @Roving The HUB
Liminal Activations uses movement, objects, and interaction to enliven the spaces, dialogues, and relationships within the HUBweek festival site. Look for MEEK Production dancers on City Hall plaza as we emerge from the shadows with performance scores intended to provoke, connect, and entertain. This season's "Liminal Activations" explores themes around the current state of the natural world, and what can be done about it.

Ben Cosgrove: A traveling composer-performer plays a set of "electric and exhilarating" original instrumental piano music inspired by landscape, movement, and place.

Orbits
7:30-8:00PM @Immersive Dome
Written as an audiovisual immersive album, each track of work takes a unique look at the concept of an orbit. The elements of music explore in 360° the cyclical path of an orbit and the many bodies that influence it.

Live VR with Tomek & CBT
8:00-8:30PM @Immersive Dome
This live drawing and VR performance with a collection of references and abstract imagery bring you through a transfigurative immersive experience.

The Red Shaydez Experience

Boston's Own Rising Star and Femcee Red Shaydez will be giving a never before seen Hip-Hop performance Live at HUBweek 2018! She will be accompanied by her longtime hype-woman Stephanie Millions, for a night you will never forget.

Live Arts Showcase Presented by the Boston Center for the Arts
8:00-9:00PM @Center Stage
Working with non-traditional instrumentation, improvised dance, sound installation, and more, these performances will feature a selection of dancers and musicians pushing our understandings of movement and sound in new directions.

Silent Disco
8:30-10:00PM @Ideas Dome
Making a return from HUBweek 2017, three of Boston's DJs will play live some of the best blends of music that will have diverse audiences connecting, convening and moving all through their colorful headphones. You'll be given a set of wireless headphones that light up to show which channel you're are listening to, allowing different genres of music that can be enjoyed by everyone.
