Please join us on March 7, 2015 for the National MS Society, Greater New England Chapter’s 6th annual Climb to the Top Boston! Climb to the Top Boston is a unique stair climb event that attracts over 500 participants who raise funds to help the more than 21,000 people in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont affected by multiple sclerosis. Participants showcase their commitment to a World Free of MS by climbing more than 1200 steps in New England’s tallest building—the John Hancock Tower.
There are many ways to become involved in the Climb, but it’s more fun with friends! Create a team and recruit friends, family, neighbors, co-workers or anyone else who is will to accept the challenge of the stairs!
Want to participate, but want to take your time to the top? No problem; Climb to the Top Boston offers “General”, “Competitive” and “Firefighter” participant levels. All individuals regardless of fitness levels are encouraged to participate, so whether you’re a seasoned veteran of Climb, or tackling your first flight, there is something for everyone. Additionally, Climb is a great way to work towards personal fitness and wellness goals and is similar in distance to running a 5k road race.
We climb for those who can’t. Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system that has no known cause or cure. While 61 flights of stairs might seem daunting, it can’t be compared to the challenges faced everyday by those that live with MS. Your participation in Climb to the Top Boston provides help for today and hope for tomorrow through education, support, advocacy, and research funded by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter.
Climb to the Top Boston features:
New England’s tallest building (you will not experience a stair climb event like this anywhere else in the region!)
61 flights (over 1,200 steps!)
Chip Timing
Training and fundraising tools
Water stops along the way
General, Competitive, and Firefighter Divisions
Are you a Career, Call/Per Diem or Volunteer Firefighter? We would love to have your department showcased at Climb to the Top Boston! Please see our Firefighter Challenge for Climb to the Top Boston! No department is too big or too small; we have both city and rural, career and volunteer departments that participate. Climb is a great way to build company morale and training—train with your equipment and ignite some healthy competition between departments!
