City Tap House’s Memorial Day “Shuckfest”

This Memorial Day, City Tap House will host a “Shuckfest” on their fire pit-lined patio to kick off summer. Located in Fort Point, City Tap will transform into an al fresco beer-and-bivalve paradise where Monday Funday revelers will balance their time between sipping, supping and social sporting.

The patio will be set to bring guests the best in yard games, including corn hole with custom-designed boards. The City Tap bar team will crack open cans of local favorites like Jack’s Abby, Newburyport and Cisco while the kitchen shucks its way to bivalve brilliance. Culinary specialties will include Raw Oysters ($1 each; minimum of 12), Oyster Shooters with St. George green chile vodka ($10 each), Buttermilk Fried Oysters with lemon-tarragon aioli, sweet sauce and hot sauce ($15) and a Fried Oyster Po’ Boy with citrus aioli, shredded lettuce, tomato and pickles on a hoagie roll with French fries ($16). The ultimate Memorial Day spread comes in the form of the Bucket & Shuck It special, packed with a dozen oysters and five Narragansett Del's Shandy tallboys on ice ($35).
