On October 19, City Tap House in Fort Point is back with their annual "Pumpkin Smash" event. New this year, City Tap has teamed up with their brewer-friends over at Harpoon and Clown Shoes to custom-create an exclusive beer that will be funneled into a cute lil' 300-pound pumpkin and tapped until it runs out. And because this is "pumpkin everything" season, there also will be a Pumpkin Ice Cream Sandwich, two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies sandwiched with pumpkin ice cream and drizzled with caramel ($10); Pumpkin Quiche with spinach, goat cheese and candied walnuts in a creamy quiche filling with a flaky pie crust ($15); and, Pumpkin Pancakes with cinnamon whipped cream and candy corn ($13). Boston's own Pat Downing will provide live acoustic entertainment starting at 12:30pm.
