Winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, this homage to the era of film noir is a high-energy musical satire that examines the promise—and flaws—of Hollywood through the characters Stine, a successful writer adapting his novel for the screen, and Stone, his fictional detective hero. Featuring music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by David Zippel, and book by Larry Gelbart, the performance is directed and choreographed by Danny Pelzig, with music direction and conducting by Kevin Stites.
