CIC is bringing the concert hall to you and hosting a Massivemuse, a production supported by Groupmuse. Groupmuse taps local communities into a network of classical musicians who offer unique concert experiences in unconventional spaces. While Groupmuses typically happen in living rooms, Artweek’s Massivemuse production will utilize our Lighthouse event space to offer a larger scale performance to CIC and the broader community.
Before handing the evening over to the players, Lighthouse will be a space for socializing and spontaneous expression. Whether you have a poem to recite, a song to sing, or a story to tell, the mic will be open for folks to share their art as part of this collective experience.
Massivemuse will give attendees a chance to casually engage with classical musicians in a way that is not normally offered at a concert or recital. In addition, they’ll get an up-close experience in Lighthouse without the typical barrier between stage and audience. We are also holding a space for self-expression in the open mic portion of the evening.
