Opening Hearts and Minds Across Borders and Cultures!
Creating signature events that connect visual, performing, and culinary artists from different regions of the world with the greater Boston ecosystem. We aspire to foster new collaborations, opportunities, and ventures that unite the global community.
GAE&B is a unique one-night event that uplifts the community by honoring and celebrating the diverse cultures that make up our world. Join us to experience unique traditions of the world through art, food, and music.
On Friday, May 4, 2018, our ArtWeek edition celebrates West Africa at Render Coffee, housed within the Boston CIC Innovation Center.
Our programming this session include:
Music by visiting artists from Guinea, Famoro Dioubate and Missia Saran "The African Tina Turner" Dioubate,
Accompanied by Master Dancer and Boston local Joh Camara.
Fine art exhibitions, an African marketplace including handmade items from Amooti, Zainab Sumu, and vendors from the region.
We will feature samples of the delicious food, coffee by our friends at beantrust, and Taaling Tea from our very own Bintou Kunjo's new company!
Laser-cut digital fabrication projects inspired by the region made in our onsite makerspace!
The event itself is free, but we are looking for sponsorship to support our artists and musicians. If you are interested in helping please click here for more information!
