Christmas in August

Santa extended his summer vacation, so Christmas in July will take place in August this year! Come celebrate Christmas in August at the Seaport Hotel on Thursday, August 8th from 6:00-8:30 pm to benefit Christmas in the City (CITC), a 100% volunteer-run non-profit organization that supports and mentors families in Boston experiencing homelessness and provides more than 18,000 children in need with toys and other items during the holiday season. Guests will take over TAMO Terrace, sip festive cocktails, dress up in holiday gear at the photo booth and sing along to holiday music. There will be exciting raffle/auction items, including Red Sox and Patriots packages, a stay at the Seaport Hotel, and more. This December, CITC will hold its 31st Annual Holiday Party and is expecting to serve more than 18,000 children; CITC hosts 5,000 children and moms living in shelters or transitional housing at their annual Winter Wonderland celebration and distributes toys and clothing the following day to children whose families have fallen on hard times and otherwise might find nothing under the tree. Proceeds raised from Christmas in August will support Christmas in the City. The Seaport Hotel will again serve as a toy drop-off location this winter, where you can drop off toys in the lobby or with their valet in December.
