Don't have plans for Christmas Eve? Come hang out at the Democracy Center for free cookies (yes, we'll have a gluten-free option), crafts, and warm beverages! We'll have some materials available for coloring and crafting, and feel free to bring your own. We'll also have Skip the Small Talk question cards lying around in case anybody wants to have deep conversations with strangers, but no worries if you just want to finish your knitting project while munching on baked goods. It's going to be a cozy, low-key, and festive evening!


The Democracy Center is partially wheelchair accessible, no accessible bathroom on site. The Mandela, Parks, and Chavez rooms are accessible, but the Library is not. Wheelchair users are welcome to use the accessible restroom at Daedalus while we plan our improvements for bathroom accessibility. To reach that bathroom, exit the ramp and turn left on Bow St, at the next building (Daedalus) use their accessible entrance and their restroom will be on the right.
