What if you could enjoy chocolate without any sense of guilt? What if this chocolate experience was accompanied by magical, snowy walks along with dozens of other culinary adventurers crunching on top of fresh snow? And, more uniquely, what if this adventure was sparked by a professional chocolate aficionado?


Join Tamara and other chocoholics who now have the opportunity to snowshoe trails to enjoy chocolate prepared every way imaginable among the White Mountains near Gorham, NH. Trailside businesses will prepare a variety of goodies from hundreds of pounds of chocolate, including chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate fountains and fondue, brownie sundaes, chocolate cookies of all kinds and more!

We will visit eight businesses along the tour: Whitaker Woods Meeting House, Eastern Inns, Stonehurst Manor, 1785 Inn, Adventure Suites, the Touring Center at Ragged Mountain equipment, Riverside Inn B&B and Old Field House.


Gear


Snowshoes are required and can be rented below as well. Warm, non-cotton socks (such as wool material) are also important, as well as other non-cotton layers, hat, and gloves. Some snacks beyond chocolate can be taken as well. Warm boots will also be required. Because much of this journey involves hiking between forest and establishment, there will be plenty of opportunity to pick up water, go to the bathroom, and more.


Due to the logistics involved, this will be a carpool-only trip. Parking is an issue up north, and following our community values of accessibility and mission to reduce traffic, we will be riding together. We will do pickups at Park & Rides along 95 North.


Tamara has been a chocolate enthusiast all her life and has been leading the Tipsy Chocolate Tours in Boston for the past year. Being the nerd that she is, she is always researching more information about chocolate which of course includes tasting new chocolates whenever she can.
