Journey back to Victorian England and experience Dickens’ heart-warming classic story brought to brilliant life! Commonwealth Shakespeare Company brings a dazzling new production of Dickens’ timeless tale to the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theatre. Ebenezer Scrooge, the infamous miser, is shown the error of his ways and reformed by spirits in one transformative night, discovering the true meaning of the holiday season. In this spectacular adaptation of the iconic tale, Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ is infused with carols from Dickens’ era in lush arrangements. This new holiday tradition is sure to bring joy to audiences of all ages!


Summer presale begins on Tuesday, July 16th in conjunction with performances of The Winter’s Tale on Boston Common. Presale ticket buyers will receive 20% off advertised single-ticket pricing, and individual seats will be assigned prior to the launch of single-ticket sales. Single ticket sales will begin in October through the Emerson box office, with balcony and mezzanine tickets starting at $20 and orchestra tickets starting at $60 ($15 for youth/student tickets). Premium seating starts at $150.
