From the streets of Paris to the Hungarian countryside, Chameleon begins its second quarter-century with a program of beauty, light, and joie de vivre. Kodály’s fiddler greets us with wild abandon in his 1914 Duo for violin and cello while Debussy’s conjures a universe of shifting color and sensual dreams in Trois poèmes de Stéphane Mallarmé. Eric Moe’s Frozen Hours Melt Melodiously into the Past and Lili Boulanger’s Nocturne et cortege transport us to luminous, glowing bygone days. Finally, Ernest Chausson’s piano quartet is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of elegance, warmth, and endless mélodie.
Tickets are $52, $41 or $30 with $5 off for students and seniors.
