CITY OF QUINCY 80s & 90s FREE CONCERT AUGUST 17th
QUINCY, MA – July 10, 2024 Mayor Thomas P. Koch and the City of Quincy invite
you to enjoy the City’s August concert celebrating the Music of the 80s & 90s. The event will be held on the Hancock Adams Common, 1305 Hancock St. on August 17th from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The event is free to the public.
The line-up of performances includes 80s cover band, Cover Story Entertainment, at 3:00 p.m. and Beacon Street Band, playing well-known 90s music, at 5:30 p.m. followed by a one-woman tribute show to superstar Whitney Houston at 7:00 p.m. with national recording artist and NBC’s The Voice Season 3 Finalist Michelle Brooks-Thompson. “It’s wonderful to see so many people coming out for the shows each month to enjoy an afternoon of music from talented performers and family fun on the Hancock Adams Common,” shared Mayor Koch. 80s & 90s classic cars and models dressed up in fashion from the time, as well as stilt walkers and jugglers, will be on the Hancock Adams Common, along with lawn games. Seating will be available or bring your lawn chairs. Food trucks including KC’s Curbside, Donut NV, Gonzales and Ellie’s Treats, are scheduled to be on-site with food and drink for purchase or visit one of the City’s nearby downtown restaurants.
