Carousel, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s second musical, centers on carousel barker Billy Bigelow, whose romance with millworker Julie Jordan costs them both their jobs. To provide for their unborn child, Bigelow attempts a robbery. After he gets caught in the act, he is given a chance to mend his ways. The musical features well-known songs "If I Loved You," "June Is Bustin' Out All Over," and "You'll Never Walk Alone."
