“I know of no finer Haydn conductor than Cantata Singers director David Hoose.”—music critic Lloyd Schwartz
Cantata Singers presents F.J. Haydn's resplendent oratorio, The Creation. Hoose leads soloists, chorus, and orchestra in this exhilarating retelling of the Creation story, featuring inspired and eloquent soloists Amanda Forsythe, soprano, William Hite, tenor, and Mark Andrew Cleveland, bass, imaginative orchestral colors, and some of the most thrilling choral writing ever conceived.
Conductor Martin Pearlman will give the pre-concert talk, free to all ticketholders, at 7pm in Williams Hall. Following the performance, all are invited to attend a free post-concert reception.
