A Candlelight Vigil being held to mark the one year anniversary of lockdown in our Long Term Care Facilities due to Covid-19. It is honoring the strength and resiliency of our elders and their families as they endured and persevered through the last 365 days. It will also be a remembrance of those we have lost. This event is part of a national movement in which 17 states are participating and it is the only one being held in Massachusetts which makes it even more special. It will include opening remarks by the organizer, Melinda Gribko-Reyes who is a local social worker who is an advocate for Elders. It will be followed by a moment of silence, an opening prayer and reflection by a local chaplain, Debbie Mayer . We will then open it up to the public to give personal testimonials and ending with a closing prayer. We hope you will join us in this healing moment in which we bring light into the darkness of the past year.
