In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Senior Nutrition Program in the United States, Springwell & BayPath, two non-profit aging services organizations, are teaming up to answer your questions about this free program. This brief online session will:
* provide an overview of the community and home-based nutrition programs we offer, including eligibility,
* answer any questions you have about our nutrition programs and how they can help individuals and families,
* connect people who might want to enroll for a program assessment.
Hosted by the Nutrition Directors of BayPath and Springwell, this online session will quickly answer any questions you might have - from funding to logistics to eligibility. This session is appropriate for someone looking for services for themselves, someone who is a family caregiver, or for community professionals who want to be better informed to make referrals.
Last year, Springwell and BayPath provided more than 500,000 meals through a combination of home-delivered meals, community dining sites, and grab and go meals to more than 3,350 older adults. Springwell is designated by the Commonwealth to serve the towns of Belmont, Brookline, Needham, Newton, Waltham, Watertown, Wellesley, and Weston. BayPath serves Marlborough, Ashland, Holliston, Hopkinton, Dover, Sherborn, Natick, Framingham, Wayland, Sudbury, Hudson, Northborough, Southborough, and Westborough. While meeting increased demand during the pandemic, Springwell and BayPath worked to keep the older adults in our programs safe by changing our delivery practices, adding grab & go meal options for community sites where community dining isn’t possible, & delivering multi-pack frozen & shelf-stable meals to those receiving home-delivered meals.
