This year’s festival runs from September 25-October 1, based at the Kendall/MIT Open Space.

Join us and be a link in the chain of the Cambridge community! Over 20 community partners and neighborhood groups amass to create a human kinetic chain reaction running a mile long through Cambridge – from City Hall to the Charles River. This project is deeply rooted in cross-community engagement and will include 250+ people working together to build a chain reaction of human kinetic energy ending at the river with a circus performance.

SCIENCE CARNIVAL

A family-friendly science extravaganza, Carnival is a beloved regular fixture of CSF and annually attracts 10,000 people. Featuring over 100 activity booths, demonstrations, live music and events, the ever-popular Robot Petting Zoo and Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Freeze-Off competition. Carnival is an adventure playground for inquisitive visitors of all ages – we can’t wait to see you there and celebrate our diverse, creative community together.
