The New England Revolution are seeking one talented video gamer to compete against 18 other eMLS teams in the inaugural edition of the eMLS Cup with the chance to represent all of Major League Soccer at the FIFA eWorld Cup. The one-day tournament will be a 32 person, single elimination tournament. Major League Soccer and EA sports have debuted a new eSports gaming league with EA Sports FIFA 18. Each eMLS team will recruit their own gaming player through a local tournament where all players will meet to compete at PAX East in Boston, MA in pursuit of the eMLS Cup. The winner will then represent Major League Soccer in the FIFA eWorld Cup in August.
