We can’t make seriously good chocolate without seriously delicious cacao beans!
Learn about Taza's Direct Trade cacao sourcing program while you get an insider’s look at the important practices we have in place to ensure we receive the best quality cacao. For one evening, you are an honorary member of our Sensory Panel — a group of Taza fans who will inspect a “recent shipment” of cacao and learn how to determine its quality for our bean-to-bar making chocolate process.
Our expert staff will guide you through an inspection of raw cacao then you'll hand-winnow and grind roasted beans. From there, you'll get to taste freshly ground cacao liquor ( while you learn that cacao liquor has absolutely nothing to do with alcohol!)
We will end by sampling a couple of finished products and discuss terroir, flavor profiles, and some of the challenges sometimes faced by Taza when selecting our beans directly from cacao growers around Latin America and the Caribbean.
Join us for an informative and delicious evening going behind the scenes of what it takes to make seriously dark chocolate that is seriously good!
$35 per person. Space is limited. Tickets available at the link!
