Companies and individuals are facing a burnout crisis: a 2018 Gallup study of 7,500 full-time employees and found that up to 78% of them reported feeling burned out at work. Job burnout also contributes to major health risks like type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, gastrointestinal issues, and even death for those under the age of 45. Increased awareness of workplace burnout resulted in tripling the number of workers seeking assistance for burnout within since 2015 (and yes, they feel stigmatized).
