Do you have questions about how to do wheel, or how to stand up from a backbend? How to safely deepen your backbending capabilities? In this workshop, we'll explore different ways to increase extension in the thoracic and lumbar spine, as well as how to build core stability and strength. Poses we’ll try include wheel (urdhva dhanurasana), salabhasana, kapotasana, and king pigeon pose. We'll also discuss how to incorporate props during practice.
Wear comfortable clothing, and please bring a water bottle, hand towel, and mat. (The studio has a limited number of mats to borrow.) Some prior yoga experience is recommended but not required. Hands-on adjustments will be offered, but you are welcome to opt out if you prefer. All bodies welcome.
