New to HUBweek this year, the Ideas Dome Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA will feature a series of more than four dozen sessions taking place across five days, exploring how we can build a more inclusive and equitable future.
If you're between the ages of 18-25 (nearly 40% of HUBweek attendees are) you probably know someone who is having a problem with drugs or alcohol. New research is improving our understanding of the unique aspects of addiction and recovery in this age group. Not everyone who uses alcohol or drugs will become addicted, and many young adults may not think their substance use is a big deal, but it's important to understand how substance use impacts your life and the warning signs of addiction.
Speakers:
Martha Kane, PhD
Clinical Director, Center for Addiction Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital
Scott Hadland, MD, MPH
Adolescent Medicine and Addiction Specialist, Boston Medical Center
Please note: all Ideas Dome sessions require a free HUBweek General Admission Pass to attend.
