Join us for a great afternoon with wonderful Brazilian music, arts and crafts, theater, folkloric activities, meet & greet with soccer players, consular services, food and a lot more!

Brazil on the Greenway II is a cultural and educational event organized by the Consulate General of Brazil in Boston, which aims to increase the visibility of local artists, Brazilian and American, who have Brazil as the central theme of their work. In this perspective and considering the outstanding results of the 2016 edition, we are preparing the second edition!
The event will take place this Saturday, July 15th, from 1pm to 7pm, on the Greenway park across from the Consulate @ 175 Purchase Street, Boston MA. We intend to count on the participation of various singers and bands of several genres, such as Gringo da Viola (MPB/samba), U-Limite band (Brazilian pop/rock), Thiago Vitório and Mirella Costa (MPB/bossa nova/jazz), Samy Wanderson & Junior (Brazilian country music), Trio Catolé (Forró), and Leandro di Souza (Brazilian country music).
We plan to bring representatives of the soccer teams Boston City F.C., Men's team, and Club Marias, women's team, as well as Roda de Capoeira, with Sinhá Capoeira and Mestre Chuvisquinho. Artists and art educators (Adriana Fernandes, Margarette Mattos, Oneil Jr and Adriana Fernandes) will offer art activities to the public. This year we also plan to present a play in Portuguese, which is "The three little pigs in the enchanted forest", a production by the Teatro Brasileiro de Boston, which will be a delight to the event attendees.
Stand-up comedy will also be part of the show! We expect to have Simoneide Almeida and Sheyla Abreu, who are very well known comedians in Massachusetts. Organizations such as Share Your Love Foundation, New England Community Center, Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers and Diga Aí will be tabling and also helping with entertainment activities and other services.
Consular services will also be provided during the event, but only for those who were able to make an appointment.

O BRAZIL ON THE GREENWAY II é o evento de cultura, educação e cidadania que o Consulado-Geral do Brasil em Boston está organizando. Esse evento integra a política do Consulado para a promoção e a divulgação da cultura brasileira na região, buscando aumentar a visibilidade de artistas locais, brasileiros e norte-americanos, que tenham o Brasil como tema central do seu trabalho. Nessa perspectiva e considerando os ótimos resultados do evento em 2016, estamos preparando a sua segunda edição, e é nosso desejo que possamos realizá-lo anualmente e torná-lo parte do calendário de festividades culturais brasileiras em Boston.

Vamos contar com a contribuição de talentosos profissionais, brasileiros e norte-americanos, da música, das artes plásticas, da educação, do esporte, do entretenimento infanto-juvenil, do teatro e da culinária que atuam na região.
