BOTTOM LINE ANNOUNCES JASON AND DEVIN McCOURTY AS HOSTS FOR ANNUAL DINNER ON MAY 5, 2020
McCourty Twins to Host $1 Million Fundraiser to Help First-Generation Students from
Low-income Backgrounds Get into College, Graduate, and Go Far in Life
NFL Players Jason and Devin McCourty will be hosting Bottom Line's 15th Annual Dinner “Building Relentless Allies,” on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Westin Waterfront in Seaport.
The McCourtys have made significant strides in helping educational equality in Massachusetts. Most recently, the twins supported a bill to allocate $1.5 billion of funding to the state's public schools in part to focus efforts on college preparedness, college graduation, and career readiness.
Bottom Line's Annual Dinner brings together over 800 of Boston's corporate and community leaders and raises over $1 million -- 20% of the organization’s annual revenue. The evening’s theme of this year’s Dinner is “Building Relentless Allies” and will celebrate Bottom Line's network of champions that support the more than 3,300 students across Massachusetts.
Bottom Line's proven method gets results: 77% of graduates get their college degree within six years -- more than double the national average. On average, Bottom Line graduates will go on to earn nearly double their family income in their first job out of college. As one of the first community-based organizations to focus on college completion, we now operate regional programs in Boston, where the organization was founded in 1997, New York City, and Chicago. Last year, across all three sites, Bottom Line served 7,635 students.
