The BOSTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 7, 2019, 11 AM – 6 PM. Once again, the streets of the historic South End will close along Columbus Avenue - attracting more than 10,000 residents and visitors – for the love of music.
BOSTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL activities will include the I Love Music Main Stage featuring the talent of 10 local bands; a Kids Corner with treats, activities, and performances; an Art Walk Gallery showcasing the work of distinct painters, sculptors, and illustrators; a Small Business Marketplace featuring the crafts, products, art, and food of local vendors; and a BOSTOWN Cares tent highlighting the work and services of our two community excellence partners, The Roxbury YMCA and United South End Settlements.
The BOSTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL aims to unite our neighbors, customers, and artists for an annual end of summer celebration that coincides with the anniversary of new ownership and renaissance of Darryl’s Corner Bar and Kitchen. The event is an extension of our regular offerings and has been selected as a featured activity of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Fierce Urgency of Now Festival. The event is free and open to the public with the expressed intent of building community using food, music, and arts as the connecting fiber.
