The Chaplain & The Doctor come to Boston on May 4 at the Somerville Theatre!
This documentary film by ICU physician and filmmaker Dr. Jessica Zitter explores the transformative partnership between a hospital chaplain and a physician working in a busy trauma hospital in Oakland, California.
Chaplain Betty Clark and Dr. Zitter come from very different backgrounds and professional roles. Over years of working together, they discover how their collaboration can help patients and families navigate some of the most difficult moments in healthcare.
Through humor, honesty, and deeply human patient stories, the film examines spirituality in medicine, the presence of bias in healthcare, and the power of interdisciplinary care.
At this screening, stay for a live Q&A with Dr. Zitter and Chaplain Clark. The screening will feature a special conversation moderated by Steven Boudreau the Director, Equity and Engagement for the Rhode Island Office of Aging.
Continuing education credits for physicians, social workers, nurses, and physician assistants are available for select screenings.
