This is going to be a brand new investing club for women who are beginners in investing, preferably in 20s-30s. Personally, I hate seeing my "savings account" earn a whole ~0.000003% and take a hit from inflation every year, but I'm also pretty risk adverse. So the concept of the Women's investing club is to get a group of women who have in interest in making a little extra money, want to learn about investing, but don't want to empty the savings account either (kinda like a book club that could make you money).
We will meet once a month and chip in a monthly contribution to the club's investing pot of money. It is expected that all women research an area of investment and bring her ideas to be discussed during this monthly meeting.
We are in search of TEAM PLAYERS. Each woman will invest equal amounts monthly and will contribute at least an hour of her time each month to researching new investments. It is expected that all women want the group to success as a whole, will not withhold information, and will actively contribute insights. The club will be capped at 13 members to retain intimacy.
Since this is in it's infancy stages, our first meeting will be to decide on monthly contributions (~$5-$50/month) starting 2018. This will be agreed on unanimously; we can start low and increase as we feel more comfortable/ our finances grow.
100% of the contributions will be used as investing cash and the dividends will be split equally. Feel free to reach out with questions!
