The Boston Public Market (BPM), an indoor, year-round marketplace at 100 Hanover Street that boasts more than 35 local farmers, fishers, and food entrepreneurs of New England, will host its 2018 Open House on Tuesday, March 13th from 4:00-7:00pm. An annual event that showcases the best of what the BPM has to offer, this free evening will invite new and returning guests to experience the Market with free samples, food demonstrations, local beer and wine, exclusive one-night coupons, pop-up vendors, food trivia, a photo booth, prizes, and giveaways. In addition to receiving free Boston Public Market swag bags, all attendees will be entered into a drawing for a $100, on-the-spot shopping spree during the event. Live music will also be played throughout the night.
“The Boston Public Market is a dynamic public space every day, but it’s particularly inspiring to see the community come together during this annual event to enjoy demonstrations, specials, and delicious tastings as they get the chance to meet the maker and support these small businesses,” said Cheryl Cronin, CEO of the Boston Public Market. “We hope the event gives both new and old friends of the BPM a chance to discover what the Market has to offer each and every day of the year.”
The Boston Public Market Open House is a free, public event, and no RSVP is required to attend. A cash bar will serve local beer and wine by the glass priced a la carte, and guests are welcomed to spend time shopping throughout the Market’s 35 vendor stalls.
Since opening its doors in July of 2015 after more than a decade of planning, the Boston Public Market has welcomed more than 5.2 million visitors, and has provided affordable storefronts for more than 35 local makers in a high foot traffic downtown location. In 2017, the Boston Public Market was named “Best One-Stop Shop” in The Improper Bostonian’s annual awards issue.
