Food Photography is a beginners course designed to introduce new photographers to the beneficial techniques available when seeking to capture food in its everyday setting. Low light situations, at-home studio set-ups, and composition will be covered. We practice what we teach with with staged food for practice. The course also features an on-site cook preparing food for the students to photograph for the end of the class.
The class will be based around cameras that have a “Manual Setting” available but will not be limited to dSLRs. Topics covered will be beneficial and applicable to all cameras, and will even have a segment dedicated to smart phones. A small tripod is highly recommended for the course as many of the techniques will require some sort of camera stand.
