"...The Fan Fest is located steps away from the Boston Marathon finish line and begins Friday afternoon, concluding Sunday evening. On Friday, local bands The Hellcats and Legends of Summer are performing, while a clinic with tips from Boston Marathon champion Meb Keflezighi on how to prepare for Monday’s marathon takes place at 5 p.m.


On Saturday, an invitational mile and middle school 1k take place. In the middle school 1k, top boys and girls from cities and towns along the course will race. Professional milers from around the world will compete in the mile race. At noon, the Legoland Discovery Center Boston opens, where a Lego replica of the Boston Marathon Trophy will be displayed and kids can build Lego monuments. A meet-and-greet with former marathon champions Bill Rodgers and Joan Benoit Samuelson starts at 1 p.m. before Dalton and the Sheriffs play from 4 to 7:30 p.m.


Sunday’s festivities include the Boston Marathon Defending Champions panel featuring returning champions Des Linden, Yuki Kawauchi, Tatyana McFadden and Marcel Hug, and hosted by Bruschi. Another round of Legoland starts at noon and local band Bearfight wraps up festivities from 3 to 5 p.m."
