SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2018 @ 7PM
Combining iconic Comedians with icons-in-the-making, the 19th Annual Boston Comedy Festival Gala will showcase some of the best-established and new comedic talents.

Eight of the top comedians will compete for $10,000 in prize money and bragging rights of being BCF Festival champ.

Hosted by Boston Comedy headliner Jim McCue who has been on Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing and Gotham Live.

The Comedian of the Year Award will be presented to Boston’s own Gary Gulman and comedic actress Jennifer Coolidge with the lifetime achievement award.

Jennifer Coolidge is an American actress as well as a comedian who is best recognized for playing the role of Stifler's mom in the American Pie movie series, Fiona Montgomery in the movie 'A Cinderella Story' and Paulette Bonafonté in the flick ‘Legally Blonde’. She is also known for appearing as Sophie in the CBS drama ‘2 Broke Girls’, as Roberta in the series ‘Joey’ and as Betty in the teen drama series ‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager’. Coolidge has also been a part of many other films and television shows. On the big screen, she played notable roles in ‘Down to Earth’, ‘Plump Fiction’, ‘Zoolander’, ‘Carolina’, ‘American Dreamz’, ‘A Night at the Roxbury’, and ‘Mascots’, to name a few.

Originally from Boston, Gary Gulman has been a scholarship college football player, an accountant, and a high school teacher. Now he is one of the most popular touring comics and one of only a handful of comedians to perform on every single late-night talk show. Gary marked his 20-year anniversary in stand-up with the “It’s About Time Tour,” selling out theaters throughout the country. It’s no wonder the New York Times wrote, “Gary is finally being recognized as one of the country’s strongest comedians.”

Gary’s TV credits include “Last Comic Standing,” “Inside Amy Schumer,” and currently on HBO’s “Crashing” and HBO’s new series “2 Dope Queens.” His 3 stand-up specials are streaming now on Netflix and Amazon.

The final eight up-and-coming stars from a 48-comic field go head-to-head for a $10,000 first-place prize. Festival founder Jim McCue hosts. Fresh off Gotham Live and Dry Bar Comedy specials comedian Jim McCue, “Boston’s King of Crowd Work”, will be hosting this gala comedy event.
