Boston Children’s Chorus performs “Becoming King,” the 20th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Concert. The performance, on January 16, 2023 at 4:00pm ET at Boston’s Symphony Hall, showcases music and spoken word to honor Dr. King, who dedicated his life to fighting for racial justice and equality. BCC youth singers, along with season partner Zakiyyah and guest artists Renese King and Mariama White-Hammond, share music that underscores Dr. King’s upbringing and experience, and reflects on his teachings, many still so relevant today.
Featuring stirring music by legendary musicians such as Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Kirk Franklin, Craig Hella-Johnson, Mark Hayes, and more, this performance remembers the legacy of Dr. King with a moving and uplifting artistic experience.
