Sky Philanthropy, Boston University, MAF & Sky International Center present Boston Annual Ukrainian Festival & Independence Day on the grounds of BU Beach, free and open to the public at 270 Bay State Rd, Boston, MA 02215.
Soulful & captivating – modest words which describe but by no means capture the essence of Ukrainian folk art, music, song and dance. From the rich color and deep symbolism of the delicate “pysanka” (Ukrainian Easter Egg) to the thunder, power, rhythm and strength of “HOPAK” – the world’s most exciting ethnic dance, & brilliant “Kolomiyka” (polka) with soulful folk songs in between, come to celebrate the homeland’s independence. All proceeds will go towards helping Ukrainian victims in the horrible current war.
Enjoy an outdoor summer concert and shows, a public social dance, Ukrainian foods and baked goods, fun children's activities, vendors grove, arts and crafts displays and bazaar, cool refreshments, Live Reenactments from Ukrainian history and Ukrainian hospitality.
We are marking Ukraine’s Independence, the Unity of our People, their Struggle for Freedom, Prosperity and Dignity. The artists have created a dynamic and integrated collaborative program.
