A first-time meeting of two great improvisers in a seriously incredible acoustic space, with excellent sound & video. The one-hour concert is free - donations accepted to support the musicians, the museum, and DineAid Waltham.
Award-winning Puerto Rico-born saxophonist Edmar Colon has performed with a long list of influential musicians, including Joe Lovano, John Patitucci, Danilo Pérez, Kenny Werner, Lionel Louke, Patti Austin, Ledisi, Judith Hill, David Sanchez, & Arturo Sandoval.
Pianist Bob Toabe was deeply influenced by his meetings at age 15 with McCoy Tyner and Pharaoh Sanders, and his original and fluid piano style has been characterized as rich, sweet, and hypnotic.
