To recognize Mental Health Awareness Month and celebrate National Ride a Bike Day on Sunday, May 1, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (“Blue Cross”) is sponsoring complimentary Bluebikes rides across Metro Boston’s bike share system.
NOTE: This event takes place every Sunday in May 2022.
IMPORTANT: Riders can take advantage of free Adventure Passes by downloading and opening the Bluebikes app on a mobile device, and entering the appropriate code for each Sunday in May:
The initiative marks the launch of Blue Cross’ month-long “Miles for Mental Health” campaign. The state’s largest health plan is shining a light on mental health awareness and the link between outdoor exercise, such as biking, and improved mental health, during the month of May, which is also National Bike Month. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is also sponsoring free Adventure Pass codes each additional Sunday in May and is bringing back its “Take a Ride, Give a Ride” promotion, enabling any rider who takes a Bluebikes trip on May 1 to provide a free Adventure Pass to share with a friend or family member.
Blue Cross is the title sponsor of Bluebikes, which is owned by the municipalities and operated by Lyft.
