WHAT: In celebration of Boston 250, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (Blue Cross), title sponsor of Bluebikes and sponsor of Boston 250, is launching 250 limited-edition bikes featuring original artwork created by students from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and UMass Boston.
Inspired by Boston 250's focus on honoring the people, communities and ideas that continue to shape Greater Boston's future, the custom bike designs reflect themes of healthier people, healthier communities and a healthier environment.
Riders who spot a Boston 250 bike can snap a photo and share it with Blue Cross on Instagram (@bluecrossma), Facebook (@BCBSMA) or LinkedIn (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts) for a chance to receive a $25 Bluebikes credit, while supplies last.
WHEN: June 22 – August 14, 2026
WHERE: The 250 bikes will be available across Bluebikes’ 600 stations in 13 municipalities, including Arlington, Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Newton, Revere, Salem, Somerville, and Watertown.
HOW: Riders can find one of the 250 limited-edition Boston 250 bikes throughout the Bluebikes system.
