Filmmaker Michal Weits explores the figure of her great grandfather Joseph Weits, a leading figure in the JNF. Pouring through diaries and confronting family members, she tries to reconcile her great grandfather’s contributions and his controversial legacy in the creation of the Jewish state. Eye-opening, illuminating and brave, Blue Box is essential viewing for open and honest conversations about painful truths.
