The late Dixie Evans, The Marilyn Monroe of Burlesque, kept the torch of burlesque burning with the Exotic World Museum and Striptease Pageant. Without her work, the neo-burlesque revival would not be flourishing today.
This year, for Dixie's birthday, we're teaching a burlesque striptease routine in her honor! All proceeds from this class will go to BurlyCares, a charity that supports retired burlesque and variety performers.
Students will need a boa, gloves, a gown or dress with a zipper, a bra, and pasties. High-heeled dance shoes are recommended. Be as glamourous as you can! If you don't have some of these items, just do your best and we'll have fun!
The workshop is pay-what-you-can; we suggest $20, but it's what you can afford. If you can't join the class, but still want to contribute, please let us know that your registration is a "donation".
We are accepting payment through PayPal or Venmo. Please specify that you are registering for "Blonde Bombshell' and make sure we have your email, so we can send you the Zoom meeting information!
