Black History Month is celebrated in the US and Canada throughout the month of February. We here at Passim have put together a month-long series celebrating Black History Month through live streamed concerts, workshops, interviews, and events that highlight Black artists within the folk community. For every event this month, we will be donating a percentage of show proceeds to charitable Black-led organizations.

Black music has been a huge part of leading to the modern folk music that we enjoy today. For more information on the origin of Black History Month, visit: https://asalh.org/about-us/origins-of-black-history-month
