Three close-by refuges provide excellent birding opportunities in a wide variety of habitats. We will explore the fields, marshes and hedgerows of Bolton Flats for rails, bitterns, flycatchers, sparrows, warblers and vireos. In the wet woodlands of Oxbow NWR we could find wood duck, sora, swamp sparrow, blue-gray gnatcatcher, and various warblers. Finally, we will stop at Great Meadows NWR for shorebirds, ducks, wrens, etc. feeding along the edges of the marsh and trails.

Also open to teens age 14 and older with an adult.

Instructions and Directions:
Please bring lunch. Call Strickland Wheelock at 508-265-2896 if you will be late or unable to come on the morning of the trip.
