Connect with nature and tune in to the multitude of organisms that surround us, starting here at Joppa Flats! This free drop-in family event features an engaging mixture of indoor and outdoor activities that will open your eyes to the great biodiversity of animals, plants, and insects in our gardens, salt marshes, and backyards.
Science displays and inter-activities include the Life of the Honey Bee, "Meet Beach Creatures” at the tide pool touch tank, Rotting Log Investigation, Wildflower Seed Bomb Making and the Guess Who Lives in the Great Marsh? Challenge. Joppa Flats staff and volunteers will present family walks or presentations every half-hour-past-the-hour.
