Boston is ready for its close up!
Settle in for an evening exploring the film history of the “City on a Hill”. Join The West End Museum and author Paul Sherman, whose film reviews have appeared in the Boston Herald, the Improper Bostonian and more, for the highlights of Hollywood’s love-hate relationship with the city. From the Departed to Mystery Street and The Brink’s Job to Next Stop Wonderland, learn to spot street corners and monuments in your favorite films and why so few movies are actually set here. This talk is based on Sherman's book Big Screen Boston.
See Boston on the silver screen, tuck some film trivia in your back pocket, and add a few local flicks to your “to watch” list.
Books will be available for purchase at this event.
This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
